LIP joins the new “Passeio da Ciência” at FCUL
"LIP is featured in the renewed Passeio da Ciência (“Science Walk”) at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL), a permanent institutional showcase dedicated to the research units at the faculty. "

The official inauguration took place on FCUL’s Research and Innovation Day, and included presentations from each of the 13 research centres represented at the faculty. Representing LIP, José Maneira, researcher and current liaison for LIP at FCUL, gave a short overview of the laboratory and its main research areas.

Located under the arcades of Building C6, the Passeio da Ciência features more than 30 panels dedicated to research centres and scientific infrastructures. Its goal is to present, in accessible language, the wide range of science carried out at FCUL, making it visible and inspiring to both the academic community and campus visitors.
The LIP panel highlights the quote: “When particles accelerate, knowledge takes a step forward” - an invitation to explore the experimental work and technological innovation that define the laboratory’s daily life. This new presence increases the visibility of the science done at LIP - now also accessible to those walking through the corridors of Ciências - and underscores the long-standing connection between LIP and FCUL.
